Barney is a big, loveable, Labrador-Great Dane-mix who was found roaming a neighborhood. None of the neighbors knew him but all agreed he was friendly boy. We’ve found Barney to be sweet, calm, and snuggly. He likes treats but he loves pets, scritches, and hugs!
We think that Barney could join a family with kids and other pets but always encourage the whole family to come for a meet-and-greet!
The adoption fee is $50 and Barney will the leave the shelter neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations.

The fee for adoption is $50, cash only. We have many great pets available for adoption at our shelter and during our offsite adoption events. There is no resident location requirement to adopt a pet from us. We have a friendly staff that will assist you in locating a compatible pet for your home and family. Caddo Parish Animal Services is an open-admission shelter meaning no homeless animal is turned away. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and when that is not possible, find a new home for them, provided that they are healthy and not aggressive.
