Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update from Rose's foster: She’s still so scared of humans that we haven’t seen much of her true personality yet. But she’s very sweet just so scared. She does well with our 2 dogs. Not house broken or leash trained. With her fear of humans and not leash trained a fenced in yard would be best. She doesn’t like a quick approach so wouldn’t recommend young kids with her. She’s starting to wag her tail some finally and is becoming a bit more active as she settles in! She just will need a family with love and patience to let her blossom as she’s a diamond in the rough.
Rose is an adorable 7 yr old Shih Tzu. She was recently rescued from an Amish Puppy mill. Rose is sweet but very scared. It is going to take time and patience to become the best pet she can. Rose is good with dogs and cats.
Adoption fee is $450

More about this rescue
Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.
PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
Please contact us if you would like to help foster, transport, fundraise or volunteer.
