Foster or Forever Home Wanted: Meet Rooney!!

Rooney is a 11 year old Australian Shepherd mix who was surrendered to us when his family was going through a tough patch and could no longer keep him. Rooney is an active senior who loves longer walks, car rides, toys, fetch and all things involving water.  Rooney is good on the leash, has basic training and is house broken.  He does not have any known medical issues but could probably slim down a bit.  Rooney is great with people and kids.  In his younger days he went to dog parks regularly but as a senior he’s no longer a fan of wild young dog play so he’d prefer either a home where he is your one and only or a home with another more chill and calm dog.  He has recently developed some separation anxiety due to his current family situation so a home where his people are around more often than not would be best for him.  If Rooney sounds like the right dog for your home, Email labradorsandfriends@yahoo.com or fill out our online application at www.labradorsandfriends.org.
