My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I’m Russet, an adorable male orange tabby, and I’m on the lookout for my forever home! I'm sweet, playful, and always up for an adventure. My brother and I share a special bond; if I wander off a bit too far, he cries out for me, and I’m always right there to comfort him.  I love to explore my surroundings—there’s just so much to see and discover! While I’m independent and not overly clingy, I’m very affectionate and friendly with everyone I meet. I thrive on human interaction and enjoy receiving all the pets and snuggles you can offer.  With my playful spirit and gentle nature, I promise to bring a lot of joy to your life. If you’re looking for a sweet and good boy to brighten your days, I’m your guy! Let’s make some happy memories together! For more information about me, please email info@frastx.org

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization.  FRAs was founded in 2004 and started off with 4 volunteers that wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter.

Our organization has grown to 400 volunteers supporting both the Rowlett Animal Shelter and the Garland Animal Shelter. With this growth now we are able to host multiple off-site adoption events, sponsor heartworm treatments program, operate our own cat rescue program, and so much more!
