Hi there! My name is Pinecone, and I’m a lovely gray and white girl looking for my forever home. My beautiful green eyes are my best feature, and trust me, they’ll draw you in and make you want to pet me! I absolutely love being pet—it makes me the happiest kitty around! I might be a little on the “chunky” side, but that just means there’s even more of me to snuggle with—more love to share! I’m a sweet and gentle soul who just wants a cozy lap to curl up in and someone to give me all the affection I deserve. My previous owner had to move and sadly couldn’t take me along, but now I’m ready to bring joy, comfort, and cuddles to my new family. Some animals shown are rehoming courtesy posts for the current owners, and other animals are available for adoption through Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs).

All animals in the care of FRAs have their annual vaccinations, sterilization, FeLV/FIV test for cats, and a microchip. You must sign an adoption contract when adopting a pet through FRAs.

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is a 501(c)(3) all volunteer non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 and started off with 4 volunteers that wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter.

Our organization has grown to 400 volunteers supporting both the Rowlett Animal Shelter and the Garland Animal Shelter. With this growth now we are able to host multiple off-site adoption events, sponsor heartworm treatments program, operate our own cat rescue program, and so much more!
