My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile:   Sage joined us from rescue partners in California after she and her puppy were found roaming the streets. She is an adorable, 2-year-old old Spaniel/Papillon mix (best guess) and weighs around 15lbs. She has been getting settled into her Seattle area foster home and is now ready to find her forever family. Please

Foster Update: Meet Sage! She is sweet girl looking for a special home, so we hope you take a moment to read through her bio and see if that special home might be with you. Sage is a sweet but shy girl who is starting to come out of her shell in foster care. She can be hesitant around new people, but it doesn't take too long for her to bond with her people and begin to show her affectionate side. However, it does take a little patience for her to build that trust with you. She can be cautious, and wants to know you're her trusted people first. Once comfortable, Sage will begin to show off her playful and affectionate size. This includes some good rounds of zoomies! Sage's biggest hurdle has been her confidence. She hadn't quite figured out how to "dog" yet but is learning in foster care. Having other confident dogs around helps, and Sage is seeking a canine companion in her forever home. Having a calm pack has helped her feel more secure on walks. Her foster family has been working diligently to help her build up confidence inside the home too, and she is starting to use the treadmill and learn some basic obedience and tricks. It's very important for Sage to have a calm, confident human who can continue to help her push out of her comfort zone. If left to her own terms, Sage defaults to hiding in the background. With some leadership, Sage is becoming from comfortable and confident and reaching her full potential. Sage is looking for an adult-only home with another calm and confident canine companion. She'd like for her forever humans to commit to being a leader for Sage and continuing to help her grow her confidence.
