My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tyra and her friends have checked into HSWC modeling academy. They are very excited to get their new careers started. These three beauties have had a really ruff start to their lives. They broke our hearts when they arrived. They are battling back to a healthy life. In addition to refining their style, runway walk, and getting their new look just right, They are actively looking for an agent that can handle the business aspects of their new career choice. Details these divas just don't have time for.
Job requirements include:
📝Nutrition and Meal planning: the ordering, preparation and clean up.
Currently learning to eat healthy. 3 small meals a day with some nutritional supplements on the side are getting them back on their high heels. Came in weighing 30 pounds.
📝 TLC:
•Time to decompress,
•Love and support.
•Commitment to provide a forever healthy home.
⭐️grooming and exercise.
These lovelies deserve a new start. They have humble goals. They are not asking to be pampered but we really want that for them.
Their agents will need to continue to observe them after graduation and limit interactions for a few weeks as they change into their new roles.
Can you satisfy their requirements and maybe fall in love with them along the way??
It's all new to them. Giving them boundaries as their careers take off will help them lead a well balanced life. Sometimes when stars rocket to the top they can't handle success. Small simple basic training will help them stay grounded.
They each have unique personalities. Since they have had a hard time getting food. They will be changing and developing as they settle in to their new lifestyle routine.
We will learn more about them each day. Please ask kennel managers more about them.
Here is what they each are showing us RIGHT NOW:
Tyra=Fun-loving, outgoing, animated. Independent, yet needy.
She's is the girl who will go ask the questions she needs to know.
Her agent will need to take that into consideration when pairing her with other models. Interviews, supervised visitations and boundaries in the home after graduation will allow all models the space they need to get to know each other S L O W L Y! Nobody enjoys cat fights!
✔️😻🐶 bouncy medium energy.Tyra likes to stick her nose into everyone's business. She will do well with a cat that does not mind a little curious poking.
🏆Tyra will easily win miss personality in her class at graduation.
Come and take her out for a runway walk, line dancing or free hugs!
She will share all her wacky secrets with you and have you laughing.
You will have a smile on your face for days. ❤️
⚠️⚠️⚠️
Tyra will need to eat in her own space away from other models so she can relax.
Providing her with her own space will help her confidence. Even if on the outside it doesn't look like she needs it, she will still need to follow the two week transition process after graduation from HSWC.
This process will set her up for Success.

More about this shelter

The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
