My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ginger, a gentle soul with a heart full of love. Her sweetness is as pure as her name implies, radiating warmth and kindness to all she meets. Despite her shy nature, Ginger has a knack for making friends, both human and canine. Her cuddly demeanor makes her the perfect companion for quiet evenings at home, offering comfort and companionship in equal measure. With a personality that`s as sweet as her name, Ginger is more than just a pet, she`s a friend, a confidante, and a source of unconditional love. Adopting Ginger means gaining a loyal companion, a best friend who will be there to share in life`s joys and challenges. Her love is a gift, one that she`s ready to share with a family that will cherish her as much as she will them.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
