My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rocco – a resilient pup with a heart of gold!
At 5 1/2 months old and 33 lbs, Rocco has already shown what a strong, loving soul he is. He came to us with some skin issues, but after treatment, his fur is growing back beautifully, and he’s feeling better every day. Rocco’s friendly, playful nature shines through, and he gets along wonderfully with other dogs.
His adoption fee is $110, which covers his neuter and vaccines, so he’s ready for a fresh start with his new family. If you’d like to meet this incredible pup, please call the shelter at 256-362-5856 to schedule an appointment. Rocco can’t wait to meet his forever family!

More about this shelter

We are the Animal Control Facility for the City of Talladega. We provide animal control services for the entire county of Talladega excluding the city limits of Lincoln, Sylacauga, and Childersburg. We work with lots of rescues all over the US and Canada. We do some local adoptions but don't have many people come in locally looking to adopt. A lot of our pets are transferred to our rescue partners. We do accept donations of cleaning supplies, dry cat/kitten, dry dog/puppy food, cat litter, and chew toys. We are also always looking for short term foster homes for our pets going to rescues. Usually it's only for a 2-4 week period before the pet leaves for his/her rescue. If you are interested feel free to contact us at 256-362-5856
