My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Martha!
-12 week old female kitten
-Typical playful kitten
-Indoors only
-History of using her litterbox reliably
Martha spent time in a foster home growing big and strong. This is what her foster reports: `Excuse my sister’s tail in this picture, but I couldn’t wait to send this out. I happen to be the intellectual of this group, so anyone wanting to share a love of Chaucer and the Iliad ( in the original Greek) would be a perfect companion. My best spot is sitting on your shoulder purring in your ear. I find it a good place so we can read together, and I can help you translate if things get tough. Despite my high IQ I can play with the best of them, and look forward to spending quality time entertaining your family. Come around for a visit so we can get to know each other.`
*Martha`s adoption fee is reduced by $20 thanks to the Bogey Fund - a fund that draws adopter`s attention towards the often overlooked black cats in Shelters.*
Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
