Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hiya there! My name is Opal, and I`m the sweetest pup you`ll ever meet. I may be a bit of an attention-seeker, but hey, can you blame me? I just love making new friends and being the center of attention. But don`t worry, I`m also super easygoing and friendly, so you can count on me to be a loyal and loving companion. I can`t get enough of the good things in life, like snuggling up for a movie night or going on long walks. And you better believe I`ll be your personal cheerleader, always there to lend a paw (or a few kisses) when you need it. So if you`re looking for a furry friend who will always make you smile, then I`m your girl! Let`s be best buds, shall we? I currently weigh ~51 lbs. How did I get here? Transferred from Harnett County Animal Shelter where I came in as a stray.
**I have been diagnosed with heartworm disease and will begin treatment soon - please speak with an adoption specialist for details. I am currently living at the admission center - please fill out a survey and select a phone appointment to complete the adoption process. Once that process is complete, your adoption specialist will schedule a time for you to meet me in person!**
~My adoption fee is $120.00.~

More about this rescue
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) of Wake County is dedicated to creating a more humane community where every adoptable animal has a home. Each year the SPCA rehomes over 3,500 animals through its innovative adoption programs.
The mission of the SPCA is to transform the lives of pets and people through protection, care, education, and adoption.
The SPCA of Wake County is a local, independent, non-profit organization that receives no government funding or tax dollars. We rely almost entirely on private donations to fund our annual operating budget of $3 million. The SPCA of Wake County is not affiliated with, nor do we receive funding from the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
