Here's what the humans have to say about me:

We can't wait for you to meet Goose. He is extremely friendly, loves to cuddle and truly
believes he is a lap dog. No matter the space, he will make himself fit. Great with kids, lets them play with their toys on him and just wants to be involved.

Goose interacts great with other dogs, following their lead. He is very food motivated, when someone is eating expect him to be there. (this works great for training too) He really enjoys chew toys but is not the biggest fan of car rides. Please do not let the sad eye fool you, he is a great puppy at heart who deserves all the love and belly scratches. He really wants to be apart of all the action, where it is family movie night, dinner time, or even bath time, expect him to be there. Add Goose to your family today!

Each adoption consists of an interview, application, counseling session, and adoption contract. All adoptions are handled on a case-by-case basis, but most adoptions are first-come, first-served, and holds cannot be placed in advance for someone to meet with an animal. All animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.

Nevada Humane Society is a non-profit organization whose lifesaving work is made possible through donations. In 2007, NHS became a no-kill shelter and launched a bold effort to help Washoe County become a no-kill community. In 2014, NHS expanded lifesaving efforts to include Carson City.
