My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there! I`m Clay! I am a 6 month old, male, orange tabby kitten. You may notice my eyes look a little funny. My eyelids are still developing and I need eyedrops throughout the day. I`m an energetic boy with lightening-fast reflexes. First thing in the morning I like to be picked up for hugs and face rubs. I like to chill on your lap after some time jumping into boxes and paper bags. I`m a chatty boy who likes dogs and maybe other cats but will need a slow introduction to either.

Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. The best way to get in touch with us is by email: info@secondchancespca.org. Due to the volume of calls, only the most urgent calls will be returned. More about this rescue

Since 2006, we have operated Plano's first no-kill animal shelter. Our mission is to rescue at-risk cats and dogs from local municipal shelters.

We supply them with needed medical care, food, and shelter. Just as important, we provide all of our cats and dogs with the love and attention they deserve until they are placed into their forever homes. Come visit us and adopt your newest family member today! Everyone deserves a second chance.

Second Chance is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are not affiliated with, nor do we receive any funding from, the SPCA of Texas, ASPCA, or any other humane organization. We do not receive any city, state, or federal funds.

Over the last 10 years, we've rescued over 3,200 dogs and cats who were slated for euthanasia at DFW municipal shelters and placed them with forever families.
