Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Harlee entered PAWS of Coronado as a stray, and sadly, no one came to claim her. She is around 12 years old, weighs 54 lbs., and is very sweet. Harlee had a fan club at the shelter who took turns kissing her goodbye, when our volunteer arrived on November 5th to give her a Freedom Ride to FFF.
Harlee is so sweet and gentle, and she fit right in with our lobby group. Also affectionately know as "lobbyists", they are extra special Frosted Faces that benefit from the extra comforts of hanging out in our lobby on big soft beds rather than in a kennel. They get lots of TLC from our volunteers and staff, but they must get along well with other dogs, too!
Harlee currently lives in a Foster home, and we are learning what this special girl is like in a home setting. Her Fling Mom shares:
"We've had Harlee for a little over a month now, and she is such a sweet dog! She's all about hugs and kisses, laying in the warm sun and napping. She naps in the cutest positions, too!
Due to Harlee's hip issues, stairs and extended walks pose a challenge, but she loves to stroll around the block, meet new people, and grab a treat at the dog cafe one of our neighbors has set up! She also loves to bask in the sun.
Harlee gets along well with my other dogs, large and small, she ignores our cats and is very gentle with my 3-year-old granddaughter. Harlee wants to be a lap dog and will get on the couch with us if she's invited -which she always is!
Harlee is comfortable with being left alone for short periods and freely roams the house with my other dogs.
Harlee doesn't require much - a warm bed, food, and as many hugs and kisses as you can give. Harlee will do well in any environment.
If you're looking for a patient, gentle, low-energy dog then Harlee would be your girl."
