My name is Oakley Ann!

Oh, to be loved by 3 ½ year-old Oakley Ann! This sweet 16-pound tan cutie pie exudes affection from every pore and absolutely adores her foster mom, climbing up the entire length of her body to give her hugs and kisses whenever she returns home, be it after ten minutes or two hours. Supremely sociable, Oakley Ann loves cuddling and snuggling with her, being held like a baby, and in typical Chi fashion, burrowing under the covers. She also loves running and playing with her many doggy foster friends of assorted size, and going for walks, walking very well on leash. Enthusiastic and extremely energetic and built like a gazelle, she’s been nicknamed “roo” for her ability to leap onto and over anything and everything, and is learning to dial down her delight in doing so. Politely ignoring the resident cats, motivated by love and food and eager to please, she’s started to work on her basic commands, is left uncrated and is almost fully house-trained. Now all Oakley Ann needs is an especially loving and active home with a securely fenced yard to complete her training, including her commands, in exchange for her own enduring loyalty and love.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).

If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. 

The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following:

Spay/neuter

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. 

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.

Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.

Our adoption process is:

1. Fill out our Adoption Application online.  We'll contact you within 48 hours to answer any questions you may have about the pet.

2. If the pet looks like a great match, we'll schedule a meet and greet and ask you to fill out our online Adoption Agreement if you'd like to proceed with adopting.  Once you've completed the Adoption Agreement and pay the pet's Adoption Fee, you can arrange to pick up your new furry family member!
