My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Myron
Hello. Pardon my whispering, but I am a quiet, shy, and retiring 1.5-year-old cat. A kind man found me on October 16, and I ended up at the HSHC. I caught a cold and had to take medicine to help me feel better. I was also neutered (which I don`t want to talk about). I don`t like to make a fuss or call a lot of attention to myself. I was sent to the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC), and I like all the cozy spots where I can curl up and nap. I didn`t move a muscle when the interviewer lady (IL) kneeled on the floor to talk to me. I sniffed her finger but never left my bed. The folks here say I am a nice boy, just very shy. I don`t have a flashy personality or a colorful coat. I am mostly white with some splashes of black. But if the right person meets me, they might love my low-key, gentle approach to life. I do need a patient adopter who can understand and respect my shy nature. Maybe I just need a little more time to develop some razzmatazz. 12-6-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
