Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
To support her new family going forward, Apricot will receive a free session of `Fearful Fido` to help her and her new family work on confidence building!
Age: 1 year
A bit about me: - unknown history with children; all interactions should be supervised - unknown history with cats; slow, supervised intros recommended - unknown history with dogs; dogs okay pending successful introduction - nervous dog with history of touch sensitivity
Apricot was found as a stray and arrived at CHS with some distrust of people, and discomfort around handling. Our animal care team worked hard to gain her trust, and we soon started to see another side to Apricot. She loves to play, both on her own or with a human buddy. Tug of war and fetch are both faves! Apricot is learning to walk well on leash and enjoys exploring all the good smells to be found on a walk. She`s also more than happy to go for a car ride, especially if you leave the window open a crack so she can catch the breeze! After a long day of exploring, Apricot is up for a snuggle and nap on the couch! With her history of living as a stray, Apricot is still working on her confidence building - crowded pathways are a bit much for her, and she sometimes she needs to take a break from being petted. Still, this formerly terrified little stray has made immense strides in confidence building and is now described as playful, curious and affectionate by those who`ve met her. She might even enjoy some doggy or humans friends, as long as they can listen when she asks for a break. If Apricot sounds like a match for you (and you`d like to experience her truly incredible puppy kisses) then come meet the girl described by our volunteers as `an absolute delight`.
Apricot is on a fur-cation until November 22nd!
