My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Skye, a (mini) schnauzer) around 5 months old, who has already been through a lot in her short life. After her home tragically burned down, a kind neighbor found the puppies and brought them to safety. Due to her history, Skye is understandably frightened of just about everything and hasn't had much human interaction. She is incredibly timid and tends to either freeze in place when scared or run away. She is a serious flight risk!! She must have a securely fenced yard for out door time. She does not know how to walk on leash yet. Skye loves the other dogs in her foster home and gets along with the 10 week old puppy as well as the 70 lb pit bull. She is great with everyone.  We are requesting her forever home have another friendly dog of any size to help Skye overcome her shyness. NO KIDS because if they accidentally fell on her or starttled her, she could nip. She's a wee little thing and right now she is a little uncertain. She is just learning how to play whereas when she first arrived all she did was huddle on her bed and try to make herself small. Now she follows them around and is starting to play with the other puppy. They often nap and sleep together too. She is fine with both men and women but does prefer slow, intentional actions when picking her up. She is learning how to snuggle and we have every confidence she is going to be a loving and devoted companion! We are seeking a patient, gentle person who can show her the love and care she has missed out on, and help her build trust. She is not house trained yet, but with time, patience, and consistency, she is sure to blossom into a loving companion.

Circle 2 Animal Rescue is a non-profit, no-kill 501c3 rescue organization dedicated to rescuing homeless, abused and abandoned animals. By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, and local veterinarians, we are able to rescue animals in need, providing them with loving care, and placing them in well-matched, carefully screened permanent homes. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs and horses where they are at risk of euthanasia due to overpopulation, left abused, alone and homeless. Animals in our care are spayed or neutered and receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment. We assist animals in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement.
