Meet MUNCHKIN and DEUCE, the charming duo!

DEUCE is a lovable, goofy dog who doesn’t quite realize just how big he is. This silly canine is on a mission to find his furever home, and he hopes to do it alongside his best friend, MUNCHKIN. Together, they make an unstoppable duo, thriving on car rides and late-night adventures.

DEUCE is a quick learner, and he loves to show off his skills – high fives are his specialty! His sidekick, MUNCHKIN, is a climbing superstar, who is able to scale fences (her pawfect human won't let her turn into an escape artist). While MUNCHKIN sometimes struggles with separation anxiety, DEUCE is always happy to offer her comfort and companionship.

Must-know fact about DEUCE? He has a strict no-chicken policy, so his ideal home won't have those little temptations around!

1.
Submit Application

We ask anyone interested in adopting one of our pets to complete the online application at https://www.jotform.com/build/222794202574154

2.
Interview

We do initial phone interview to ask and answer questions about the pet they are interested in.

3.
Approve Application

We will deny or approve the initial application, then move forward with meeting and home visit

4.
Meet the Pet

We try to do Home Visit and Meet the Pet at the same time, or it could be separate visits

5.
Home Check

Home checks are done, sometimes at the same time the Meeting is done

6.
Take the Pet Home

We may do a 1-2 week trial adoption before finalizing the adoption with the Contract and the fee.

7.
Sign Adoption Contract

Final Adoption Contract Signed and fee paid at the same time.

Additional adoption info

We endeavor to find the best home for each pet in our care. We do home visits on every pet, even if it can only be a virtual visit with pictures and videos from the potential adopter. Most of the time we adopt to people who live close enough for a personal home visit.

Weatherford Wags Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of at-risk animals from local shelters, stray, neglected and abused animals. Weatherford Wags Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.
