Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Are you looking for a smart and energetic girl to add to your family? Well look no further as Toph is here! This sweet girl has a big brain and is looking for someone that will work with her and teach her all of her manners and maybe even more. She is still a puppy and very goofy with her behaviours just in hopes to make someone laugh and fall in love with her. She would make the perfect dog for anyone that is looking for a dog that loves to work and wants to be by there persons side all day if they could.
~ Toph is looking for an active home where she can go on lots of adventures and get all her puppy energy out ~ Toph would love to find a single person, couple or family with older children to call her own ~ While in our care we did note that Toph can be reactive to people and other dogs at time causing her to be vocal ~ She would do best in a house type home rather than an apartment due to her being vocal ~ She will need to be signed up for training prior to going home to ensure she works on her big girl manners
Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed: - High Energy - Under-Socialized - Jumpy / Mouthy - Reactivity - Vocal - Nervous / Shy - Little to no training
Explanation of Behaviours: - Toph is under-socialized; her new family will need to slowly and positively work on socializing her to the world around her. - Toph is a young and high-energy dog that will need plenty of daily exercise, enrichment and training to set her up for success. - Toph can be fearful/nervous of new people especially in new situations/environments. Her new family will need to work with her to slowly and properly help her feel more comfortable and confident with new things and introductions. - Toph has shown to be a little reactive to new people out of fear/discomfort. She specifically has shown this while in her kennel through a barrier. - Toph can become jumpy and mouthy when she gets excited / playful.
This dog would benefit from: - An active home - A home consisting of all adults or with adults and older children - Lots of training - Lots of time and attention - Lots of socialization - No apartments
Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog: - Basic training - Basic manners - Self control, Jumping up and mouthing - Socialization - including working on nervousness in new environments and situations - Reactivity

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
