My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there, I'm Jasper Jive, your future best friend. I've got a heart full of sweetness and a spirit that's brave. My friends here say I'm smart as a whip, and boy, do I love a good puzzle toy. I'm friendly to all and have a knack for making people feel special. I love to play, but I also cherish a good cuddle session. Loyalty? I've got it in spades. I'll be by your side through thick and thin, always ready with a purr or a playful paw. If you're looking for a companion who will bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of love into your life, look no further. I'm Jasper Jive, and I'm ready to jive with you.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
