Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Have you met Carmela yet? According to her foster, she’s a “lush for attention.”. She adores receiving belly rubs and pets of any kind. She is a bit shy at first, but will quickly warm up and will do best with someone who can give her a little bit of extra one on one time and socialization.
Her foster says she is a total sweetheart who is very eager to please. She’s also quick to learn new things and loves receiving praise…and did we mention pets?!? Yes, she will do anything for a good petting session which is ideal for training! She adores playing fetch and is always eager to make you smile.
Our best guess on her breed is some type of cattle dog mix. Her mom looks like a cattle dog and dad looks like a shep/rhodesian mix. So we are guessing she will be around 70 pounds when fully grown. Her brother, Butterscotch, is also available for adoption. They were recently seized by a sheriff in Texas when their owner was evicted from her rental property. She was a hoarder and the dogs and cats on her property were found in a state of absolutely terrible neglect. Luckily that hasn’t impacted sweet Carmela’s personality. So if you are looking for a pup who aims to please, then Carmela is your girl.
Carmela is currently about 30 pounds, and we guess her to be about 7 months old (as of December).
Carmela is in foster care in Texas but will be transported to NJ upon adoption.
