My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jazzy is being fostered in Mundelein IL

Drum roll please.... introducing Jazzy!  This gorgeous mini black tri girlie is ready to find her people.  She is a Mini American Shepherd weighing 35lbs.  Jazzy is 2 years old and a little on the timid side when first meeting her but super sweet and warms up really quickly especially if someone has some yummy chicken.  This sweetheart is ready to find her forevers!

Jazzy came to us with 2 other Aussies and lived in a barn and outdoors in rural MO.  She has never had an accident in her foster home and likes her crate. She has been working on leash walking with her foster mom and doing AUSSOME!  Jazzy loves other dogs and likes to run and play with them.  She also really seems to like people and would be fine with or without other dogs.  Her foster mom reports she is super sweet!

Jazzy would like a fenced in yard to romp around in but her foster mom thinks once she bonds to her human, she won't necessarily need a fenced yard.  She stays pretty close to her foster mom's side and that will transfer to her forever human.  She is typical velcro Aussie.  Jazzy was great at the vet, rides well in the car and is an all around good girlie!  Jazzy isn't super high energy.  Her foster mom reports, she is on the calmer side, especially in the house and will chill once she has had her exercise for the day.  She enjoys her walks but has a nice off switch after her sniff walks.

Jazzy is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, was positive for Lyme but was treated, and is negative for all other tick borne diseases.  She is also on monthly prevention for fleas, ticks and heartworm.

Proof of heartworm prevention for any current or previous pets is required to adopt from our organization.  For more information on our adoption process, please visit our website at www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org.

NOTE:  All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers so we need an approved application on file to set up a meet with a dog you might have an interest in.  Please visit our website for more information on our adoption process, our adoption fees and a link to our adoption application.  We pride ourselves on matches that work for both the dog and your family.  MASR is here for your support, advice and safety net for our dogs for the remainder of their lives.  www.MidwestAustralianShepherdRescue.org

Additional adoption info

Meeting any dog within MASR requires an approved adoption application on file. We process as quickly as possible via volunteers. Then connect an applicant one at a time with a dog and foster home to arrange a meet and greet. If all parties at the meet and greet, including the dog, are in agreement that it is a good fit, the dog goes home that day.
