Another local dog abandoned! Beautiful Rosie is a pit bull mix who is believed to be between 1 and 2 years old. She was abandoned by her owners at a police station in East Syracuse on 3/19. Her owners just took off her leash and collar and walked out, without talking to anyone or leaving any information or records. Rosie deserves better! Rosie spent the first 3 months in a foster home with teenage boys who doted on her. She had to be moved in July because the foster had to start traveling for work. She has been with her second foster with younger children since July. Rosie deserves to have her own forever home. She is the sweetest dog! She has loved everyone she has met, including kids! True to the pittie breed, she loves to snuggle, and sometimes even thinks she's a lap dog! When she wants to play she is an Olympian ball catcher and retriever. She also enjoys some sturdy chew toys. Rosie is potty trained, but may need promts when she moves to a new home. She has been great alone out of her crate, but is crate trained if needed. Rosie has some excited energy and may jump because she is so happy to see you! She has little spurts of energy and then likes to just snuggle up. Rosie needs to be the only dog in the home. An ideal home would be one with a country setting and no other pets. Although Rosie walks well on leash, she is reactive to other dogs, so a home without a lot of dogs around would be best. She has gone to training and the right person that can continue to work with her may be able to redirect the reactive behavior. She truly is a lover to her humans, and we just want to find her a happy place (without the stresses of other dogs around) that she can call her own. Rosie's adoption fee is $275 which goes towards spaying at our vet, vaccines and medical care up to adoption, microchip and costs associated with fostering. Who will help this sweet girl live the life she deserves?!
