Oh, sweet little Georgia! She's a shy girl to start and needs the right person. She has a big, instant purr when I pet her and loves being with other cats-- seriously, she has never even hissed and I've plunked a bunch of different kittens and an adult cat in the 'kitty bedroom' with her and she cozies up to them, showing them friendship.
She is still nervous being approached on the open floor, but has her safe spots on the bed, cat tree, hammock, etc., where she's comfortable being petted and picked up. I've been snuggling with her in the evening while watching Netflix and she purrs and purrs. I've just started expanding her world, leaving the 'kitty bedroom' door open so she can explore the hallway, office and my bedroom.
She was born in mid-April to a 50+ cat situation at one house, so she didn't get much socialization until I rescued her in early August. She will do best with another kitty that is confident and outgoing to continue mentoring her. And as for the chaos of young children or a bustling household, well, let's just say that Georgia prefers a more Zen environment.
All medical is complete. Please contact me if you would like to meet her at my house or the adoption site. She is available as a 'foster-to-adopt'.
