My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I'm Skinny Pete,

About me:
I am still under weight but have been gaining while in care. I am taller than I look in my pictures, I'm still small, but I'm not a toy size if that's what you are looking for.
I have a fondness for squeaky toys.
I have been very friendly with everyone I meet, I just want to be cuddled and I give the best hugs.
I do have a loud bark for my size when I get excited.
Going for walks and car rides suits me fine.
I like to run really fast when I get a chance to be off leash. My recall is getting better because I am food motivated, as long as you have a treat for me when you whistle I currently keep running back to you.
I am rather low to medium energy. I like to play but settle down and relax on your lap or a near by dog bed if you are busy.

Likes: I love playing fetch, so far,I even bring it back and drop it for another throw.

Dislikes: Sharing bones.

Kennel trained: Unknown, I am such a good boy when left out that my foster family hasn't tried the kennel.

Special needs: I am a poodle mix and will need regular brushing and grooming to keep my skin and coat healthy and free from getting matted.

House trained: Yes

Dogs: Yes, I am in care with dogs of various sizes and try really hard to get them to like me.
I am not the aggressor but will stick up for myself if provoked. If they try to steal my chew things, I will guard it. I bark at them to play with me if they are ignoring me and poke them with my nose for them to chase me. If this will irritate your dog , I'm probably not the best fit.

Cats: I barked at the last cat I met when it hissed at me but I didn't chase it. I was still curious however, so a cat that is dog savvy would be best. I may start chasing once I become comfortable if the cat were to run from me.

Children: Yes

More about this rescue

Infinite Woofs Animal Rescue Society is a foster home based Animal Rescue located in Edmonton, Alberta. We rescue, rehabilitate and re-home unwanted, abused and neglected animals and find them their forever homes. We are different from other animal rescues in that we will try our best to not only help cats and dogs but any pet animal that has been unwanted, abused or neglected subject to our volunteers, foster homes and donations. This is one of the many reasons iwars needs you!

Infinite Woofs Animal Rescue Society is a no-kill animal rescue organization. We will help out any of the animals we take into care with any medical treatments, procedures and medications they may need. We will only euthanize when it is with a qualified veterinarians advice such as terminal illnesses where the animal is suffering. Every animal that comes into iwars is a member of the family.

We need volunteers to help in all different areas of iwars and with your help we can help to save more animals lives. We here at strive to save one animal at a time and acknowledge that "saving one animal will not change the world but surely for that one animal the world will change forever" - Unknown.
