Here's what the humans have to say about me:
She is gentle, warm, friendly and absolutely adorable. If you are looking for a Sunday morning feel everyday and a guarantee for gentle snuggles anytime it feels needed, you have met the one. This lovely lady is young, estimated 1 year old, with old soul energy. Peaceful, calm, and easy going with everyone- people, dogs, even our house cat. She is kind of a dream boat right?
Get to know her more here https://youtu.be/4CbCBEniDbk then come back to read more about her personality and all the info you need regarding the adoption process.
The term gentle-giant was used a few times as people met her and although it is true, do not be deterred, to give you an idea of her size, she weighs 71 lbs and we believe she is full-grown. Her size is truly only seen, her presence does not feel imposing and her gentle nature rivals that of a lap-dog. We believe she may be a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix but of course in rescue, breed and age are details we cannot guarantee.
My favorite thing about Pickles, besides her easy charm is that she has such a beautiful balance of playful and gentle ease. When introduced to other dogs she was perfectly polite and friendly without being pushy or demanding. She was also very tolerant and patient with a dog who has a very physical play-style. She was unbothered by his flailing paws and bouncing invitation to play. Even in the middle of playtime she maintains her calm and gentle way.
Pickles’ calm nature and adaptable personality make her a great candidate for apartment living, as long as her new family understands she’ll need regular exercise and continued socializing. With her size, a few good walks a day will help her stay happy and healthy. She is prepared for those walks too, she has great basic leash skills and walks with an gentle pace. She’s also cat-friendly! When she our house cat, she was very polite, giving him a little sniff and backing off even when he gave her a swat. I can imagine her being a wonderful family dog, moving right in and picking up the rhythm of the house with ease. She is both dog-friendly and cat-tolerant so carving out a corner in any home is possible. She would be fine living with a cat or with other dogs, but she’s also independent enough to thrive as a solo pet.
If you’re looking for a big, gentle-hearted friend who is lovely company and easy to love, Pickles might just be your perfect match. With her sweet personality and friendly nature, she’s ready to find her forever home—maybe with you!

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
