Here's what the humans have to say about me:
You know he is one dapper, respectable gentleman when at the ripe age of (estimated) 1 year old he has already earned the title of Mr. Cooper. Now this Mr. Cooper, is a bit of a charmer so if you are looking for a Sunday morning feel everyday and a guarantee for gentle snuggles anytime it feels needed, you have met the one. This boy is young with old soul energy. Peaceful, calm, content, and easy going. Kind of a dream boat right?
Take a look then come back to read more about Mr Cooper https://youtu.be/G6cdbS15gjQ
To give you an idea of his size, he weighs 45 lbs and we believe he is almost all the way to his full-grown size, so basically a perfect mid-size Labrador mix boy. Of course in rescue breed and age are almost never something we can offer with 100% certainty we do have a bit more insight with him as he was a loved family pet before some unexpected and major changes resulted in his family being forced to rehome him. No fault of his own, they gave him a wonderful base to build on in his forever home. We are sure it’s been quite the adventure, and he is enjoying all the fun and making so many new friends, we know every dogs dream is to find a family and home to call their own.
My favorite thing about him, besides his charm is that he has such a beautiful balance of playful and gentle ease. Maybe it is because he has lived with children before or he is just an intuitive boy but he can read a room whether its full of people or dogs or a mix of the two, knowing gentleness and patience. Plus, he is already house and crate trained, major bonus, and very dapper qualities. And he has great leash skills! Its hard to imagine a house he wouldn’t be well suited for.
Mr Cooper enjoys playing with other dogs and is friendly without being pushy or desperate. He is so fortunate and is being fostered in a home with an established pack of dogs, of varying sizes and ages, and he has fit right in. His foster dad lovingly calls him “the best little boy” because he is so well-behaved and affectionate. And on top of everything, he is a downright lover, with a specialty in hugs. Just like any young one would, he needs a hug and a kiss before heading to bed for the night. His foster dad hopes you will send him to bed each night with his beloved love.
When it comes to mealtime, he is a bit of a connoisseur of enjoyment. He loves to enjoy his food slowly, almost like he is savoring every bite, so he has been allowed to “save a little for later.” After noticing that he would often leave a little behind after breakfast, his foster family would leave it rather than scoop it up, and they realized he would come back to it after a play session or morning stroll. Call him peckish but he prefers to keep it light and nibble throughout the day. And given he is polite around food it has been an easy thing to allow for.
What Mr Cooper is looking for in a forever home is simple, a family that will make him part of their everyday life—cuddling on the couch, playing in the yard, and going on walks or adventures together. If you have other dogs, that is even better! Fur-friend siblings to play with and a family to snuggle, knowing he is a loyal and loving companion, that is all.
So, if you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and well-mannered best friend, Mr Cooper just might be your dream boy. Please fill out an application or reach out via email. We would love to answer any questions and connect you with his foster family so you can talk all about what makes him such a catch.
If you have any questions about or the adoption process, email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org or make the first move by filling out an application! Don’t hesitate, these little well-rounded cuties do not stay available for long.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
