My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rosemary!
-15 week old female gray tabby
-Indoor only
Rosemary spent time in a foster home. Her foster reports: “This precious little one is the cutest little thing. She’s dainty and fluffy with gorgeous eyes. All the characteristics of your classic Disney kitten, except she’s not your typical outgoing perfect princess. Rosemary is as shy as she is beautiful. It took her a bit to get used to our household but she’s finally out and about playing with her siblings and older resident cats. She would prefer a more mellow home with older kids. Our household has a 5 year old and a 10 year old. She found the movements of my 5 year old a little too much for her but did great with the older one. That being said, she would still let the younger one pick her up and was a sweetie about it. Did amazing with our older resident cat. Def would prefer she goes to a family with a current cat to keep her company or her sister Clarice. Once you pick her up or pet her, you see that she enjoys the company. She loves her chin rubbed and doesn’t mind being held …if you can catch her! She did do well in foster care with a doggo around. As long as your doggo loves and respects cat boundaries, she would be fine with a canine friend.”

Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
