My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This bully beauty is named Bailey! Bailey would make a wonderful companion dog to just about anyone, she’s quiet, obedient and gentle with a peaceful presence. Such a good girl! We think she would make an excellent apartment dog with her quiet and friendly demeanor. She’s cat tolerant and dog friendly, and so sweet with strangers. She’s an absolute gem, looking for love!

We think Bailey is a pittie, bull terrier mix, but she is a rescue so her exact age and breed are unknown to us and cannot be guaranteed. We estimate her age to be around 1 year old, and she currently weighs around 42 pounds, the perfect size to snuggle.

Fall in love with Bailey here: https://youtu.be/kr2KuvMcgS0?si=xPbzIjO-tcqi4EDv

Bailey meets new people with ease and grace. She gives the sweetest little kisses and doesn’t jump up for love. She is such a loving and trusting girl. She takes treats gently and shares affection with other dogs well. She has wonderful manners all around. She’s still practicing her leash skills, but she’s eager to please and learning quickly. With a little polishing, this girl will be a perfect walking companion.

With other dogs, Bailey is a happy girl eager to make friends. She is tolerant and sweet with new dogs, and did well meeting dogs as large as 60 pounds and as small as 20 pounds. Bailey showed us a light and silly playstyle, but we suspect she may get a little more rambunctious with dogs she knows well. Bailey would likely do well in a home with another moderately playful dog, ready to be her best friend.

Here at the rescue, Bailey was cat-tested. She did well meeting our house cat Tom, but she was a little scared and avoidant of him. We believe her to be cat-tolerant, and think she would do well living in a home with a dog-savvy kitty. See her cat test for yourself in her video!

Bailey’s perfect home will have at least one loving human to call his own, but she’s not too picky about the rest. We think she would adore having some doggy siblings in the home, but she’s mostly looking forward to meeting you! She could easily thrive as a solo dog, soaking up allll of your attention for herself. Bailey is so quiet and friendly, we think she would do well in any type of home, a house, condo, apartment, duplex or townhome- Bailey is a versatile girl!

This uniquely gorgeous girl is ready for love! Knowing her, it will be love at first sight when she finally meets her forever family. Apply to adopt this sweetheart today. We are willing to test her with anything you need us to in order to ensure that he’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know.

We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family
● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
