It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.


JAMES POTTER and his 3 siblings (BELLATRIX, LILY POTTER and SIRIUS BLACK) were found in the back yard in San Jacinto, California. The owner of the home trapped mom, got her fixed and released her back into her back yard. Mama cat is very well taken care of. But the owner of the home needed help getting the kittens homes. So we agreed to help her if she fostered them until we could get them vetted and put at PETSMART. Now they are ready!

JAMES POTTER is a DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / BUFF TABBY MIX. He is about 11 months old. He has been around cats, but prefers calm cats. He has lived with children and a dog. He is really good friends with OWEN STRAND.

ADOPTION PROCESS:

1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT)
2. Fill Out Online Form
3. Submit Online Application
4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview
5. Will be notified of Approved Application
6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED)
7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty
8. Sign Adoption Contract
9. Pay Adoption Fee (VENMO - ZELLE - PAYPAL or CASH)
10. Take the Kitty Home

FEBUARY 2025: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.


Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 5 pm - 8 pm (Monday thru Saturday) and Sunday 4 pm - 7 pm. The VOLUNTEERS are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability and store hours. Store hours change with holidays.

The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.


Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.


We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
