Meet Aurora, a stunning seven-year-old Siberian Husky with a heart as big as her love for outdoor adventures! Aurora came into our shelter as a stray, and while she has an independent streak, she’s also incredibly people-oriented and loves being around her human companions. She enjoys going for walks and exploring her surroundings, making her the perfect partner for someone who enjoys a good stroll. Aurora seems to get along with other dogs, as long as they respect her space and aren't too pushy. While she is mostly housetrained, she may need a little help adjusting to her new routine. Aurora would thrive in a quieter home without small children, where she can enjoy a peaceful, loving environment. If you’re looking for a loyal, low-key companion, Aurora may be the one for you!

Monday-Friday: 1 - 5 PM
Saturday: 12 - 4 PM
Sunday: Closed

We do not allow public walkthroughs of our kennel areas in order to reduce the stress, fear and anxiety of our animals. Books are available at the front lobby for patrons to view our adoptable pets' pictures and bios.

The Animal Control Division is composed of one Animal Control Supervisor, three Animal Control Officers, and three Animal Shelter Assistants. The Animal Control Division provides enforcement of the City's ordinances on animal control. They work to balance health, safety, and welfare needs of people and animals. The Animal Shelter is a City owned and operated facility. It provides housing and other shelter services for Gillette and Campbell County.
