10-year-old Tristan is a handsome 30 lbs. Sheltie who needs a loving new home for his golden years. He was a faithful companion to his owner for many years, but sadly, her health declined, and she now resides in a permanent care facility.
Tristan spent much of the last 9 months being cared for by his owner's visiting caregivers, without much attention devoted to him. Thankfully, kind neighbors are now fostering Tristan and helping him find a new home where he will be a cherished family member.
Tristan's current foster family shares:
"Prior to our caring for Tristan, his typical day was in the dog run and kenneled at night for 12 hours. Within our care, Tristan plays with our larger dog during the day off-leash within the yard, and he has contact with our family for playtime, feeding, and companionship. He is loving having people around! At night, he is crated to sleep.
Tristan has a calm nature and is friendly towards people and other dogs. He enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and playing fetch. Tristan is patient when waiting to receive his personal food and treats. He has no issues related to sharing or resource guarding."
If you are looking for a sweet, well-behaved companion who is good with other dogs and cats, please consider adopting Tristan!
