Hi! I'm Acorn! I'm a simple girl in the looks department (but who doesn't love a classic black coat), it's my personality that wows the crowd! If you're looking for an affectionate kitty to cozy up with on lazy days, or any day, really, I think we'd be a perfect pair! I also get along well with other cats, so if you already have a cat who needs a friend, I'm your girl! I've never been around dogs, but I think If you have a dog who is cat friendly, I could learn to love the canine variety. Just like an Acorn falling from a tree, if you spend a moment with me, inevitably, you'll fall in love!

More about this shelter

The Woodford Humane Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal organization located in Versailles, Kentucky. We provide shelter and care to the homeless and unwanted animals in Woodford County, surrounding counties, as well as animals from other states. We care for pets of all breeds and ages, with no time limit on their stay, and we are proud to maintain an annual placement rate of over 95%.

With no government funding, we are completely dependent on private contributions to continue to provide care to around a thousand animals each year.

Adoption fees include spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations and deworming while at our Adoption Center, feline leukemia and FIV screening for cats, heartworm screening for dogs, a microchip with a lifetime registration, a free veterinary checkup, and a starter bag of food.
