Adopt West 🧭
Meet West, the sweet little pit mix from the Compass Litter! Born on August 11, 2024, West and his siblings—North, East, and South—are the latest bundles of joy at LCDR. This adorable boy is getting ready for his big adventure of finding a forever home!
West loves playing with all dogs, and gets along well with kids 14 and older (perhaps younger, too). Currently working on crate training and dog door training. West currently likes to spend his spare time getting belly rubs, chewing on toys and bones, shredding paper and cardboard, and overall investigating the world!
He loves finding random sticks in the yard and walking around with them proudly. He would do best with another dog who is happy to play with him and people who will talk to him about all his curious questions.
West is very much the curious little brother. He has complete FOMO and always wants to know what is going on. He loves tackling his brother and playing. He is vocal and likes to talk to you about what is going on (It’s not barking at things, it’s really talking to you). He’s working super hard on his potty training and is almost there. He’s not scared of loud noises and is very brave for a puppy.

Their adoption process

1.
Interview

We will do an over the phone or in person interview with our adoption counselor.

2.
Home Check

We will need a video of your home. We need to see the front numbers of your home, a quick inside walk through and a detailed backyard video.

3.
Meet the Pet

Meet and greets are done at events or at foster homes. These include all members of the family including all pets.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Adoption contract will be completed before dog is allowed to come home.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fee is range by the age of the dog.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Pets will only be taken home at our adoption events so all paperwork can be given.

Additional adoption info

If for any reason we see signs of the dog or puppy not doing well in the meet and greet we will remove them from the situation. Foster to adopt is available for many adult dogs.
