My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Peep was brought into our care by a community member on October 31, 2024.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Peep, a sweet girl with a big heart in a small package! This little lady may have come to us as a stray, but she's already winning us over with her resilient spirit. Peep recently had a skin mass removed and, despite some luxating patellas (knee caps that pop in and out of place), she's still prancing around like a champ! Her perfect family would be ready to spoil her with cozy spots to relax and plenty of gentle affection as she settles in. Peep is ready to find her new home where she can feel safe and cared for. If you're looking for a sweet companion with a little extra spunk, Peep could be your perfect match! Make sure to bring a leash and collar when you come adopt Peep!

At SDHS:
Peep has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. Peep is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
