Meet Lux (short for Luxury)! He is a two-year-old, 11-pound Shih Tzu with a heart full of love and ready for a fresh start. Rescued from a neglectful situation where he was one of too many dogs, Lux arrived in rough shape, covered in ticks, urine scalds, and mats. He had never even been to a vet before. Thankfully, he was rescued just in time to receive the care he deserved.

Now chipped, up to date on shots, and fixed, Lux has blossomed into a happy-go-lucky pup who loves his newfound freedom! He adores kids and other dogs, and his favorite activity is playing—especially with his doggy friends. Lux is a social, resilient boy who’s always ready for a bit of fun and companionship.

Additional adoption info

We require an application, application approval, meet and greet, home check, adoption fee and a contract.

2 months -12 months: $425
1 year - 6 years $375
7 years+ - $325

Adoption fee includes :

Shots up to date of adoption, wellness exam, fecal test,
Spay/neuter, Micro-chip and any other medical needed.

We also require to stay first on the micro-chip info for life and have a life time return policy on all our rescue dogs adopted out.

Unfortunately, we do not adopt out of state under any circumstances. We recommend that you visit your local shelter or dog rescues in your area if you are looking to adopt.

I.C.A.R.E. is an all breed, no kill dog rescue. We rescue dogs at risk of being euthanized from shelters, abandoned, abused, and stray dogs. We also rescue many owner surrendered dogs; which are dogs that can no longer remain in their current homes due to financial or personal issues. I.C.A.R.E. Dog Rescue is dedicated to reducing the number of dogs that are euthanized in our shelters each and everyday. We focus on rescuing and rehabilitating them in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their permanent homes. We also focus on educating the public regarding specific breeds, rescue, and general information regarding the canine species. We are a 100% volunteer run and supported organization that cannot survive without the help of loving fosters, volunteers, and benefactors.
