My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I'm Winchmore, the explorer of the group! Although my name is fancy (I'm named after a posh English suburb where famous people like Rod Stewart and Baby Spice live), but I'm really just a down-to-earth guy who loves the simple things: toys, food and attention. My favorite things are the song "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees, Taco Bell commercials and wand toys. I can jump super high, love to climb my cat tree, and am usually the first to greet new people. I love making friends, so if you've got treats and patience, we'll be best buds in no time. I'd love to be adopted with one of my littermates but I can be your solo star too! Either way, I'll bring lots of laughter, love, and purrs to my forever home. I enjoy the company of tiny humans, as long as they're gentle with me. I could probably learn to love a dog eventually, too, with a little patience and time. Please be sure to follow the introduction procedures provided by Wild Blue Cats! to make this a good experience for all of us! --- NOTE: I can NOT be adopted as a barn cat or be outdoors unsupervised, as I do not know how to protect myself.

We try to answer all calls and emails within 24 hours, but we are not paid staff and still have to work elsewhere to keep our operations going. If we are not able to answer you within 24 hours, please try again or better yet, send an email! We will try to make it up to you!

Go meet their pets

You may see our wonderful kitties at our sanctuary on Saturdays from 12-4, except holidays. Some cats and all kittens will be in foster care, so please fill out an application for a home visit.

We also take a selected few of our pets to adoption fairs every Saturday (except the fifth or on holidays) from 12-4. Please visit https://www.wbcats.org/events/ for details.

Wild Blue Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a 501(C)(3) rescue organization in the Colorado Springs area. We are committed to the No Kill philosophy and we hope to help El Paso County become a No Kill region. We currently only house cats and kittens.

We are strong believers in and supporters of spay/neuter programs, Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR), and the Human-Animal Connection.
