My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HEMINGWAY

Ahoy there, friend! I'm Hemingway, a four-year-old Havanese/Shih Tzu mix with a heart as big as my name. I'm in search of a foster-to-adopt home where I can rest, recover, and share my journey of healing from heartworm. Here's why you're going to adore me:

Foster-to-Adopt ONLY - I'm currently undergoing treatment, so I need a special foster-to-adopt home to keep me safe and sound until I'm all better. Once I'm free and clear, we'll be bonded for life!

Apartment Approved - Got a cozy apartment? No problem. I'm the perfect compact companion, happy to be your low-key roomie.

Cautious Yet Curious - I'm a bit shy with new folks, but with some patience, you'll find I'm a loyal friend who just needed a little time to warm up. Give me a chance, and I'll be your devoted buddy!

Good with Dogs - Other pups around? Great! I'm cool with calm canine pals, happy to hang with relaxed, easygoing dog friends.

Low Energy, High Chill - I'm a pro napper and the ultimate couch companion. If you like lazy weekends and quiet evenings, I'm your guy!

Learning Housetraining - A bit of patience needed here, folks! I'm still learning the ins and outs, but I'm determined to master it with your help.

I'm a shy little soul looking for a cozy corner to call my own as I go through my heartworm treatment. Ready to give a low-key, big-hearted pup like me a chance?

Or click here to apply to foster me - we can get to know each other better while I recover, and I promise, you'll want me in your life fur-ever.
