If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Bishop is a 10 year old, male, chocolate Pitbull/Labrador Retriever mix (birthday is 6/16/2014). He is housebroken, neutered, knows basic commands, trained to not go into any kitchen, and has no known allergies. For the last 9 and 1/2 years, Bishop has lived with his parents who need to place him in a child-free home. While he’s a senior dog, he’s a puppy at heart, and loves to run, play, and explore. He tends to get the zoomies but once he’s tired, he usually curls up in his bed and sleeps for hours. Bishop is a big baby who loves belly rubs, head pats, and attention. He's also independent and requires less supervision. When walking, he can tug on the leash at times, but he’ll obey commands and slow down once he’s reminded. Bishop will thrive in a home that is free of children and other pets. Ideally, new fur parents will have a yard or flexibility. As an older dog, he makes little to no mess, and is already trained. A longer profile can be shared upon request.
