Meet Pike! This sleek gorgeous guy is about 7 months old and was rescued from a shelter in North Carolina. He is just an all around fantastic kitty! He is well adjusted, friendly and outgoing. He loves meeting new people and he gets along great with all the other cats and dogs at his foster home. We think his coloring is so pretty, with such a rich black and a little bit of white on his one lip, and striking white whiskers! If you feel like playing, he will be happy to oblige - his favorite toys are the wand ones. He's very curious too and will follow you around the house, 'helping' you with whatever you set out to do. He's a really fun kitten and he'll make a wonderful addition to any home!
This cat is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and tested negative for FIV/Felv.

*Please note - we do not do in-person meet and greets. Potential adopters can speak to the cats foster mom on the phone or do a meeting on Zoom or Facetime if desired to virtually meet the cat. You can pick your kitty up 'curb side'. Cats can be returned with a full refund for up to one week. *
DPR cats receive the following medical care prior to adoption:
Initial vet visit
Spay or neuter (if cat is 6 months or older)
Rabies vaccination (if cat is 6 months or older)
Distemper vaccination
SNAP testing for FIV, Leukemia and heart worm
Broad spectrum dewormers
Monthly flea/tick preventative
Ear mite preventative
The above is standard for ALL cats in our care. But many cats we rescue also require some additional TLC prior to adoption, such as antibiotics, eye ointments, wound care, fungal treatment, x-rays, or various surgeries. We are an all-volunteer 501(c)3 charity. The adoption fee helps to offset our standard and non-standard vet bills.
