Big boy Rocky is a happy guy who loves everyone! Rocky is a big, tall fella, and just the sweetest baby who loves all people and dogs. He is housebroken, leash and crate trained and loves food, so he is motivated to learn new tricks for treats. He also knows “sit” and will give you a Pyr paw when he wants some love and pets! Rocky is excellent when getting groomed and also loves delivery truck drivers as he knows they bring good things. He doesn’t dig and barks like your average Pyr to alert you of new things. This affectionate guy will fit in anywhere, whether he’s an only-dog, or 1 of 8! - He’s just a joyful soul. Rocky thinks he can drive and loves to climb in the driver’s seat to go on a ride. Fees: Adoption fees are determined on a sliding scale depending on age, location and transport. Fees for dogs adopted locally start at $400 and can range up to $700 for puppies under six months. Puppies placed on spay/neuter contracts receive $100 back when the dog is spayed or neutered. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Fees for senior dogs (7 or older) and foster dogs will be adjusted accordingly.

Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority.
