My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, my name is Grey and I am a pretty gray female Pittie mix, almost 2 years old, 47 lbs and I’m lovely. I was found in a New York animal shelter, set to be executed for no crime at all, and without an appeals board, I just had to hope for a miracle. Unbelievably, out of the blue, 4 Little Paws Rescue who normally pulls dogs from Texas decided to save me! WOW! That was a close call! So now I am living it up in a foster home, making friends, chilling out, and living like a loved family member, which suits me perfectly. I am friendly with everyone young and old, and I am great with other dogs. I have a medium energy level and a loveable personality. I enjoy playtime, squeaky toys, and running zoomies. I’m very affectionate, cuddly, and social, and if you don't mind 47 lbs on your lap, then I’m a lap dog! I’m well-behaved, housebroken, and trustworthy roaming free in my foster home, and when left home alone I mostly just relax on the couch or the bed. I rarely bark, don't guard my food or toys, and I love going for walks. I am ready to get this party started and find a forever family, so inquire about me today and bring me home!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
