My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Andy
My brother Ron and I were surrendered to the HSHC on October 7, 2024, because our mom didn`t want to separate us. Ron is a bit of a stinker, but she worried we might be bonded. Good news! We are not! I am staying at the Smitten Kitten Cat Cafe (SKCC), an excellent place to meet new cats! I am a shy 8-year-old boy with a white and brown tabby coat. Because I am timid, I have latched onto a cat structure that allows me to hide or peek outside whenever I want. The SKCC staff says that although I am fond of staying out of sight, I LOVE being given attention and affection. I have a cute habit of nudging your hand with my head or paw to ask for more pets. I was not ready to exit my cubby hole when the interviewer lady was talking to me. However, I licked her hand when she extended her fingers for me to sniff. She told me I have great potential for being a snuggly lap cat. Once I get to know you, of course. My favorite toys are fabric balls and toy mice that I can chase or bat around. I purposely avoid being near dogs. I have lived with other cats and small children, and I`m rather indifferent to the kids. For being a self-proclaimed wallflower, I have a booming meow! I would thrive in a calm home where I can feel safe and secure. Please come to SKCC so we can meet. 11-15-24

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
