My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy, my name is Banjo and I am a super cool Poodle/Scottish Terrier mix, 10 months old, 20 lbs, and when my owner became too ill to care for me I was sent to the Elmendorf Texas dog pound. Thankfully, before I even had time to panic, a foster with 4 Little Paws was there picking me up and taking me home. What a relief! Now I’m neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to meet you!

Besides being cool, I am also friendly, easygoing, and happy, usually wagging, a bit shy at first, and friendly with other dogs. I love playtime with doggie friends, playing with doggie toys, and taking naps on my back with my legs up in the air. I’m snuggly and affectionate, only bark to alert, housebroken, and my foster mom says I’m smart! Apparently, I’ve got it all going on! Looks, brains, personality, I’m a total keeper! I love going for walks and am always happy when invited to go along for a ride in the car. I tolerate a crate for short periods but honestly, I don't even need one. I’m a good boy and I roam freely in my foster home. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home!

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
