We talked it over and are now accepting adoption applications for Tiffany!!
Please read the following carefully if you're interested in adopting her.
Tiffany came to us from a local shelter after being surrendered by her owner for severe allergies. She had scratched so much her face and belly were nearly bald, crusty/weepy, and infected. She was very underweight and her fur was matted. This neglect had been going on for months. She was extremely miserable during that whole time.
We are looking for a special adopter for Tiffany. We want to make sure that Tiffany never suffers the way she previously did.
She will likely require a prescription allergy medicine longterm or possibly for the rest of her life. She will require a special hypoallergenic diet that is expensive compared to regular cat food. She'll need to be brushed and/or groomed regularly. If she lives with other pets, the adopter needs to be committed to making sure she only eats her prescription diet and doesn't get their food. Her care will be more expensive than the average cat's care.
Tiffany is approximately five years old, extremely loving and cuddly with people. She is inquisitive and fun. She doesn't mind other cats but her big desire is to just sit on her human's lap as much as possible. She'd do fine as an only cat and she'd love a human who works from home. She is declawed in her front paws (not by us). We will be having x-rays done prior to adoption and paw repair if necessary.
Tiffany isn't 100% perfect medically yet. We are still working on figuring out her ideal allergy treatment, but now that she is looking and feeling so much better, if an adopter is ready to take that on, we'd be willing to discuss. We will take our time to find the right adopter for Tiffany and review applications and references carefully. Her foster is happy to keep her as long as necessary while finding the perfect home. We expect her to be ready to go home in the next couple of weeks.
Tiffany's adoption fee is $300 and we'd like to find an adopter in the Lafayette or Indianapolis areas if possible. (or within an hour)
One thing her foster mom wants you to know besides Tiffany is an amazing, unique, once in a lifetime cat, is that Tiffany pees in the carrier about 75% of the time you take her anywhere, so if that is a deal breaker for you, sorry ?

Adoption fees range from $80 to $100. The adoption fee covers the cost of spay or neuter, vaccinations, medical exam, worming and flea prevention. All cats and kittens are cared for in various foster homes.

My New Cat is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity dedicated to finding forever homes for homeless cats and kittens. All donations are used for the cats. There are no paid officers, employees or volunteers. We rely on foster homes to shelter and care for the cats so we are always looking for qualified foster homes.
