My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stormy is a charming, affectionate little lady who`s ready to be your best friend! At 8 years old, she`s a calm, gentle companion with a big heart. Here`s what you can expect from this adorable Shih Tzu mix:

Potty Trained, but...: Stormy is generally potty trained, though she might have an accident in a new environment as she gets adjusted to her surroundings.

No Crate for This Girl: Stormy is not a fan of crates. She may become anxious or stressed, so it`s best to keep her free and comfortable in a safe space.

Dog-Friendly but Needs a Slow Introduction: She`s a friendly girl who gets along with Henry, the other dog in her foster home, but tends to bark at neighborhood dogs. Slow introductions are best with any new dog or cat to see how she reacts. When meeting cats, she didn`t seem fazed, but every animal is unique.

Great with People: Stormy absolutely loves adults and kids alike. She`s sweet, affectionate, and always eager to be near her people. Whether you`re playing, relaxing, or just moving around, she’ll happily follow you or stay by your side. She’ll even snuggle up on the couch, content to be held like a baby!

Playful, but Low-Energy: Stormy enjoys a few minutes of low-energy play with her toys, aka her `babies,` before taking a nap. She`s not one to go on long play sessions, but her short bursts of fun are sure to brighten your day.

Walks Well on a Leash: Stormy enjoys a peaceful walk, and she does well on the leash. She’s not a high-energy pup, so a casual stroll is perfect for her.

Car Companion: Stormy is a great travel buddy and does well in the car. Whether it’s a trip to the park or a short errand, she’s calm and relaxed on the ride.

Food Motivated: She’s a little foodie! Stormy is highly food-motivated, which can make training or teaching her new things a fun and rewarding experience.

Overall, Stormy is a wonderful, gentle, and loving dog who will thrive in a calm, patient home where she can get the attention and affection she craves. If you`re looking for a sweet, low-maintenance companion who just wants to be with you, Stormy is the perfect match!
