Arlo is a happy little guy, probably not much more than a year old, but he's pretty well behaved! A little jumpy sure, but it's probably because he's so short, lol. He's good boy who knows sit but is a little reluctant to show you. He doesn't have much interest in treats right now, but he's still settling in. We hope Arlo's people come for him, but if they don't someone else is going to be very lucky to get this handsome boy in their life. Arlo is easy on leash, allows for handling and a great size for apartment or condo living!
Came in as a stray on 10/17/24 and is available for rescue holds NOW, transferable on 10/20/24 at 7pm.
Found near 8100 S. Yale Ave Chicago
Adoptions are walk-in 12-6 daily at 2741 S. Western Ave. Chicago, IL
Email visitcacc@cityofchicago.org for more information.
The building is open 12-7 daily and adoptions end one hour before closing. All visitors 18 and older must have a government issued ID.
All household members should be present to meet dogs (especially those under 18 and any decision-makers). We recommend and can arrange dog to dog meet and greets for your current dog to meet a potential dog sibling at the shelter. You will need to show proof of up to date rabies vaccination for your dog or dogs.
Slow, cautious, and appropriate introductions are recommended after you allow time for decompression for the shelter dog.
