Mr. House Panther or Mr. Slinky-Slink is one handsome sleek kitten. You will notice that PIPPIN has some white hairs in his black coat. This is the remainder of his "fever coat" These white hairs were once all over him and will all eventually fall out and be replaced with black fur. PIPPIN still bears a couple of scars from his time of being sick. He has a little fogging on his right eye. Three vets have looked at it, and they believe he has full vision, and it does not bother him. It should clear over time - or it may not. The white marks around his eyes are also from the infection, too. His eyes were repeatedly sealed shut with goo when he was tiny, and he may never get hair back there. We think that makes him unique. PIPPIN has "white" eyeliner! Very cool!
So, on to the more fun things about PIPPIN! This sweetie gives the best kisses, and he is a LAP CAT! He loves to come right up and give you a big wet kiss with his nose. He purrs all the time, loves to rub on you and is super sleek. PIPPIN can run like lightning and loves to play with his sisters. PIPPIN's sister ALLIE is also available for adoption, and they would be a perfect pair together, since kittens do best with another friend to play. PIPPIN really would like a friend to play with in his new home, so if you have a cat-friendly dog, that should be fine, although he has never seen a dog, a slow introduction over time would be important. Another young cat or kitten would be great - he has been around cats from age 2 to 18+ and did well.
PIPPIN LOVES TOYS, and like his sisters, a TUNNEL is the most favorite toy of all. I recommend getting one for him. He loves tall scratching posts, cat trees, round ball chasers, dangle toys, really, any toy gets PIPPIN excited. He is most interested in human contact though and has always been the first kitten in our laps ready for love. PIPPIN really is a LOVERBOY.
PIPPIN is completely litterbox trained, and super smart. He loves canned and dry food, and as a bottle baby, other than being born outside, has never know the dangers of living outdoors, nor should he. PIPPIN needs an all-INDOOR home for life. Remember, this slinky-slink is a HOUSE Panther. PIPPIN is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated to his age, dewormed, and has heartworm and flea prevention applied. His adoption fee is just $35 for the right adopter. Do not forget about ALLIE, his sister! Together, they would make a perfect pair!

More about this shelter
The Bastrop Animal Control organization became a reality in 1998. We've grown since then and continue to do so as Bastrop County grows. Currently, we have 3 separate buildings containing a total of 90 large indoor/outdoor kennels and 8 play yards. We have 30 indoor cat kennels. We also have a 3 room cattery, that enables cats to live together in colony type environments until they find their forever home. If you have ever worked with or adopted a shelter pet, you know just how much they crave the attention and love we and our volunteers can provide and their eternal gratitude when they find their forever home at last.
