My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Acorn is just shy of 7 months old and is 50 lbs. as of Nov. 4th. She was surrendered to a shelter by her owners but luckily, her foster family bailed her out! She's now living the good life while she waits for a forever home. She's good with kids, cats, and other dogs.

Acorn is spayed, current on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Please stay tuned for more pics and info as we get to know her!

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period. Our Purpose is:

To rescue adoptable dogs and puppies from animal shelters and animal control facilities

To rescue dogs and puppies from abusive and neglectful situations, including puppy mills and "backyard breeders"

To help educate the public on proper animal care and promote spaying and neutering of all pets
